The University of Maryland Testing Office administers a wide range of tests to University of Maryland students taking classes at other institutions and to other test takers from outside the university.

The Counseling Center provides mental health care services to UMD students. Per President Pines' announcement on 2/25/2022 regarding the masking mandate in areas where health care-related services are provided, the masking mandate remains in effect in all areas of the Counseling Center in the Shoemaker Building.
The Testing Office will offer limited in-person testing including Parapro, GRE, Praxis, TOEFL, MAT, DSST, and CLEP testing. We will also begin limited in-person proctored testing on this date. Advanced registration for all exams is required and can be completed on the registration page.
The Testing Office continues to conduct exams through remote proctoring when approved by the exam sponsor. Face masking is required in the Testing Office at all times regardless of your vaccination status.
