Consultation Services
Often, people who interact closely with students, such as UMD faculty/staff and family members or friends of students, will be the first to know when a student is having mental health challenges that may be impacting their academic success or daily lives. The Counseling Center provides consultation to assist faculty/staff or family members who are aware of a student’s concerns and want to know how to help.
Although consultation with Counseling Center staff can be requested to occur in person, we most often provide consultation over the phone through the Warmline. Please read on for information about our Warmline consultation services.
