University Parent Consultation and Child Evaluation Service (UPCCES)

UPCCES provides a campus-wide service to University-connected families. In existence since 1964, the division has an established history of providing high quality counseling, consultation, psychological evaluation, and training experiences.

There are three main branches of UPCCES

  • Psychological services to children, adolescents, and their parents Services include therapy and psychological evaluation regarding problems of learning, achievement, or adjustment.

  • Parent Warmline The Parent Warmline provides consultation to parents of UM college students. Phone and email consultation is available on issues related to the students' mental health, academic, social and overall adjustment.

  • Supervision of campus specialists working with college students with learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Ensures students are receiving appropriate services related to their disability status.
